We Are God's Garden

Gardens are beautiful things. With flowers blooming everywhere, their colors bursting forth in pinks, reds and yellows; surrounded by the dark rich color of the dirt they sprout out of!

However gardens left unattended become unsightly and grow weeds. Weeds left unattended get stronger and harder to pull out. This is what happens to us.

When we allow God to come and work in our lives He pulls these bad plants out; it may hurt a lot, some weeds need to be dug into to get to the real root while others just require a small twist and pull as they aren't as deep...and there are some we've become so used to relying on that when God untwines us from them and takes them away, we're left feeling weak. (Job 5:18) But Abba wont leave us struggling for support He places Jesus right next to us; to walk with us.

God sees our current state and the work involved, but the beautiful picture of the beautiful garden we will be is kept in His mind and He doesn't give up!

He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
-Psalm 147:3 (NASB)

How I thank God for that cross we can lean on! For our Saviour to water us and encourage us; after all, the gardener's goal is always to make his flowers flourish and garden grow!

So count it joy in the trials and persevere with determination, what we go through is to strengthen our faith in the Overseer of our life.

Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
-James 1:2-4 (NASB)
